A meal that is healthy and nutritious, packed with good
protein, healthy fats, and low GI carbs, and lets not forget the fibre. Pita
bread topped with barbecue sauce, chicken strips, chillies, and mozzarella,
sounds good right! Well it is.
Place it in
the oven for 10 minutes or until the pitas go brown on the edges
What you will need
1 chicken
breast diced ( cooked )
½ onion
diced
6 olives
diced
2 tbsp
tomato paste or barbecue sauce
1/4 cup grated
low fat mozzarella
2 chillies
diced
2 small
whole wheat pita breads
Preheat the
oven to 180 degrees
Lightly
grease the pan with cook n spray
Spread the
paste or barbecue sauce on the pitas
Top pitas
with onions
Sprinkle the
chicken on
Sprinkle the
olives over
Sprinkle the
chillies
Finally top
it all with the mozzarella
