It happens to all of us, maybe even more than others, but it
still does happen, we doubt ourselves when we do the right thing, or we doubt
ourselves when things are going right, and it seems to be to good to be true.
Especially when we have seen Gods power before, but on other situations we tend
to battle, doubting whether he can help again when something else more
difficult or even easier crosses our paths.
Doubt – Genesis 3:1-6 ( Satan tempts us and puts doubt in
our minds )
Why? Simple...he doesn’t want us to be happy, he doesn’t
want us to believe or have faith in just how powerful God is.
Numbers 11: 21-22
Basically states that Moses had witnessed Gods power in
spectacular miracles, yet at this time he questioned Gods ability to feed the
wandering Israelites.
Summary
When we begin to rely on our understanding we are in danger
of ignoring Gods assessment of the situation. By remembering Gods past works
and potential power we are not cutting off his potential power.
There is one way to defeat this thought of doubt – remember
that Gods strength is always available ( Numbers 11:23 ) it is up to us to ask
for it.
