You can do all things

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Philippians 4:13

I can do everything through him who gives me strength. ( not once does it mention us doing it in our own strength.

" Everything "

Meaning that nothing is impossible for God. We can face all sorts of enemies and obstacles and difficulties, but only if we ask God for strength and not minute think we can or are doing it on our own.

Decision Making part 1

Decisions part 1

We are all given decisions in some stage of our life's if not everyday, and with decisions comes consequences, good or bad.

In the garden of Eden Adam was given a choice by God when told not to eat the forbidden fruit. God gave Adam the possibility of choosing wrongly, and he did, and in doing so disobeyed God.

Decision Making part 2

Decisions part 2

Genesis 13:10-11

How often does the choices we make shape our character, just like Lots character is revealed by his choices, he took the best share of the land even though it meant living near Sodom, a city known for its sin.

How often do we make decisions based on what looks good on the outside but get bitten by it later, the old saying “ the grass isn’t always greener on the other side of the fence “ is so true compared to this verse in the bible.

10 adventures for every man Part 1

Everyman has a desire in him to discover new places, test his strength and to come out victories on the other side. I have compiled a few adventures that could be added to a mans bucket list, that will truly test endurance, strength, and courage, so if you don't have a life insurance policy it would be a good idea to contact your broker before attempting any of these adventures and tests. Unfortunately most of us are not playboy billionaires

Forgiveness and inner healing

Inner Healing

God loved us so much that he paid the ultimate price for our emotional healing in the work on the cross.

It happens to all of us, somewhere everyone of us has been hurt, and usually the easiest way to deal with that hurt is to lash out at others, friends, family, and loved ones. We have this dark feature in all of us that as the ability to hurt someone with out realising that we have even done it, or we do and couldn’t care because we want them to feel what we are went through, and this is so often the case in marriages

Strength

Strong Christians

When David met Goliath on the battle field he did not act like a wimp, or ask for mercy, he did not back down or run away, instead he stood his ground against a giant of a man, picked a small stone and without hesitation swung it with deadly force bringing down the giant that had been terrifying the Israelites. I like this story of supporting the underdog, because he has nothing to loose.

The same goes for Samson although his arrogance and pride, God gave him a gift of strength, and with this strength he broke free from chains, killed a thousand men with a donkeys jaw, and brought an entire temple down.

Mothers Day

Ideas for Mothers Day

Mother's Day started nearly 150 years ago in America, when Anna Jarvis, organized a day to raise awareness of poor health conditions in her community, a cause she believed would be best advocated by mothers. She called it "Mother's Work Day."

Mother's Day is a celebration honouring mothers and motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in society. It is celebrated on various days in many parts of the world, most commonly in March or May.

Guidance

Asking for Gods guidance can sometimes feel like a schlep, especially for us men, who wont even ask for directions when we get lost, thats if we even admit to getting lost.

The same principle counts here, when we feel lost instead of burying our heads and keep going the same course due for a collision into a brick wall we should there and then turn to God for guidance or direction if you will. Admitting that we are lost and that we need his guidance to correct us.
Men are the head of the families and if you are losing direction, there is a good chance that your family will follow.

Things to do with your kids

Spending time with our children is in today's age getting harder, but sacrificing and compromising can go a long way to building healthy relationships with our children. And its the small things that count.

1. Act silly with them.

10 Simple Rules for Dating My Daughter

Ten Simple Rules for Dating My Daughter

Rule One:
If you pull into my driveway and honk you'd better be delivering a package, because you're sure not picking anything up.

Rule Two:

You do not touch my daughter in front of me. You may glance at her, so long as you do not peer at anything below her neck. If you cannot keep your eyes or hands off of my daughter's body, I will remove them.

Rule Three:

I am aware that it is considered fashionable for boys of your age to wear their trousers so loosely that they appear to be falling off their hips. Please don't take this as an insult, but you and all of your friends are complete idiots. Still, I want to be fair and open minded about this issue, so I propose his compromise: You may come to the door with your underwear showing and your pants ten sizes too big, and I will not object. However, in order to ensure that your clothes do not, in fact, come off during the course of your date with my daughter, I will take my electric nail gun and fasten

Dont Doubt

It happens to all of us, maybe even more than others, but it still does happen, we doubt ourselves when we do the right thing, or we doubt ourselves when things are going right, and it seems to be to good to be true. Especially when we have seen Gods power before, but on other situations we tend to battle, doubting whether he can help again when something else more difficult or even easier crosses our paths.

Drop the ego and get involved

How often do we as men sit back after watching a movie like Braveheart or Gladiator, wishing we could be heroes like them. Well we can in our own way. For families and for ourselves.
So many men at play areas with their kids, just sit there more interested in their cell phones, or magazines than interacting with their kids, when they should be spending every minute there climbing in the tunnels with their kids, encouraging them, being that support for them, cheering them when they climb over a obstacle, we don’t realise it but in that moment when we are cheering, encouraging, and playing with them we are becoming heroes for them, to see the approval on their fathers face goes along way to building our children's confidence and placing us in the hero status in their eyes.

Fighting for what is right

Divorce...It should never be the only resort, yes it is understandable that there are cases where matters can’t be resolved, but is that really true, I think we forget that God can do anything. But in todays society it feels like it is the norm, like it is the only way out or the IN THING to do.
How often do men actually decide to fight for their marriages and make a stand, but it seems it is easier to just walk away, take the easy road out. Instead when we should be taking the hard road to prove ourselves as men of God and fight the battle
