Things to do with your kids

Spending time with our children is in today's age getting harder, but sacrificing and compromising can go a long way to building healthy relationships with our children. And its the small things that count.

1. Act silly with them.

2. Get involved with their imagination - if they want to chase trolls around the yard, pick up a broom or a stick as if it were Excalibur and go and search with them.

3. Talk to them - asking them questions of how their day went, what did they enjoy the most about it, you might not think it but they understand and it shows that you care.

4. Keep your word, if you are going to make a promise then deliver on that promise.

5. Cuddle with them on the couch, and watch the kiddies program they enjoy so much.

6. Bake something with them, and yes that means dads too.

7. Take a special interest in something they make, or did, and show them how proud you are of them.
