10 adventures for every man Part 1

Everyman has a desire in him to discover new places, test his strength and to come out victories on the other side. I have compiled a few adventures that could be added to a mans bucket list, that will truly test endurance, strength, and courage, so if you don't have a life insurance policy it would be a good idea to contact your broker before attempting any of these adventures and tests. Unfortunately most of us are not playboy billionaires
or have stack loads of money stashed away somewhere but if you can and have the dough, do try them out.

Here are the first 5

1. La Tomatina

Basically where participants throw tomatoes at each other just for the heck of it, It is held on the last Wednesday of August, during the week of festivities of Buñol. The estimate amount of tomatoes used are about 150 000, so it does get messy, and wearing gloves and goggles can come be a clever idea. it can be a adventure for you and the wife or girlfriend seeing that the tomatoes are crushed before throwing, and no other objects are allowed to hurled through the air besides for the tomatoes that are delivered by trucks. Bonus you get to be in Spain and see the sites, and meet new people who are all covered in tomato juice.

DANGER 5/10 - besides for tomato juice in your eye, and the possibility of slipping, it safe to say that your medical aid bill wont take a beating.

FUN 9/10 what's more fun than hurling tomatoes at complete strangers without the worry of being beaten to a pulp like the tomatoes, and bonus cops wont arrest you.

ADVENTURE 7/10 Being in a different country can bring won self to get an itch of adventure and if you decide to travel through Spain it will be well worth the cash spent.

ADRENALINE 4/10 - Besides for the large crowd and the gunshots to start and end the festival its unfortunate to say you adrenaline wont get much of a kick out of this.

2. Running of the Bulls

The Spanish most certainly know how to keep themselves busy. If you feel like being chased by a half a ton cow that has anger issues and horns to go with it, then this is place to be.

The town of Pamplona plays host to this special and daring event during the San Fermin Festival, where fighting bulls are unleashed to wreak havoc upon the town and injury onto the dare devils contestants who are running like they stole something.

Must be warned though, people have been seriously injured in this event and it is not something to enter into if you feel like you might freeze in the middle of it and become a human Pinyatha. Being fit to some degree would also be advisable, if you cramp up, well then, you pray and hope that it is an aging half blind bull coming in your direction.

DANGER 10/10 hmm let me see....you being chased by a bull on streets, if you trip....enough said.

FUN 9/10 if you come out unscathed, 2/10 if you get poked in the nether regions by sharp horns controlled by a raging bull.
Bonus: you will have definitely tested your courage, and if unscathed get to enjoy the rest of the festival.

ADVENTURE 7/10 you are in Spain, and get to see the surroundings, and while running through the streets screaming like a little girl, you might even find a nice place to go for dinner afterwards. If you get " horned " you will have a brilliant adventure in an ambulance.

ADRENALINE 10/10 this will definitely get your adrenaline pumping faster than what it takes for a formula 1 car to stop. If you have a heart condition, you will become easy prey.

3. Sahara Race Egypt

Seven days, 250km, self supported race across the Sahara, should be a challenge for anyone willing to test their stamina and fitness, not to mention their character.

The race takes competitors across 250km of some of the most gruelling terrain the Sahara has to offer. if the heat doesn't get to you then there is the humidity, but once you have completed the race you will be one of only a few to say that they have crossed the Sahara by foot.

It will be a very good idea to start training for the race well in advanced, and to make sure you know exactly what you are getting yourself into.

This is one of the ultimate challenges you can put your body and mind through, so if you are keen to add this to your adventure bucket list their are 277 days left to the next race.

DANGER 7/10 - possibility of heat and sunstroke can lift the danger scale up.

FUN 6/10 - for those who are not fanatical runners, but keen to test themselves, and battle with heat and blisters.
10/10 for those who are avid runners and marathon runners

ADVENTURE 9/10 - for the simple reason being you are in the wilderness, its self supported, and you have to find your way across the desert like the tribes of old.

ADRENALINE 7/10 - from what I have read and heard from others, the most exciting thing to happen to give you that adrenaline rush would a camel chasing you or nearly stepping on a scorpion.

4. White water rafting

This is adventure that anybody can have, and the bonus is that there are so many places to do it in the world, maybe even right in your own back yard.

Many of the places that offer this watery treat have instructors to take you or even to train you so that you can tame the rapids yourself. There are even white water rafting camps that take you on a 2 or 3 day rafting experience where you will beable to camp along side the river for the night.

Make sure you find a reputable training facility and instructors, because the last thing you will want is to be stranded in the wild with nothing but wet clothes and a bump on the head.

DANGER 7/10 - This all depends on the rapids you are going to challenge and the instructor that is with you and trained you. There are possibilities that the raft can tipple over, and that you will be dragged down river and throw against rocks lie a pin ball machine, but hey that's all part of the experience right!!

FUN 8/10 - Riding a river, getting splashed with water and testing your balance can be quite a fun experience, especially if it is one of those 3 day excursions where camping and making fire is part of the package.

ADVENTURE 8/10 - It involves going down river and not knowing what will happen next or where you will land up..enough said

ADRENALINE 8/10 - The possibility of the raft capsizing or being thrown over board by massive rapids will definitely get the old ticker pumping faster than usual.

5. Climb Mount Kilimanjaro

Another awesome adventure to be had, with guides that take you up the mountain and set your camps up, this one is well worth spending cash on, that's if you keen on walking and hiking.

There are some really good tour operators that are based at Kilimanjaro, and make sure you book in advance, and that you are fit to do the climb, what I heard from family members, it is no joke, but at the same time it is really fun, and the scenery is fantastic.

DANGER 8/10 - If you are going to be cheap and decide to skimp on a qualified or recommended guide, you looking for trouble, injuries can occur and the possibility of Altitude sickness is always a factor - make sure the guides are experienced in these sort of situations.

FUN 6/10 - For avid climbers maybe a bit more on the scale, the idea of camping and seeing the awesome sights that Kilimanjaro has to offer can be fun.

ADVENTURE 8/10 - You are climbing up the highest mountain in Africa, it doesn't get more adventurous than this.

ADRENALINE 6/10 - The climbing and amazing views are definitely factors to get the ticker going, but not really anything to dangerous that will give you massive surges of adrenaline, unless you decide to act like Stallone in Cliff Hanger.
