Fats

Healthy fats to graze on
Healthy Fats
Now a few of us might think that fats in our foods are things we need to stay away from, far from it!. There are the good fats and then are the bad fats, which we will be discussing in this post

The good fats
Good fats are usually your monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, these would include foods such as:

Almonds

Macadamia nuts

Avocado

Olive oil

Walnuts

Peanuts ( unsalted )

Tuna

Salmon

Flaxseed

These fats are healthy for quite a few reasons:

 1.       It has been proven that eating foods high in good fats can lower cholesterol

2.       Good fats help prevent heart disease.

3.       For those wanting to help with adding size onto your frame these foods can certainly help too they are high in calories and a added bonus they come with a bit of protein too.

4.    Good fats like Tuna, Salmon are good for your brain ( packed with Omega 3 fatty acids, and protein )

The bad fats

This is the stuff to stay clear of, it clogs your arteries and is one of the major causes of heart attacks and strokes. The big piece of fat on our steaks or the pork chop crackling is known as saturated fats, and yes it is always the tasty stuff, but also eating large amounts of it will later on be one of the reasons you land up in hospital getting the hell shocked out your chest to get you ticker up and running again.

1.     Chicken with skin
2.    Fried foods
3.    Cooking's, doughnuts, and certain muffins
4.   Cuts of meat with high fat content ( lamb, pork, certain beef )

By eating the healthy fats as mentioned above, you wont just help with increase brain activity but also in the fight against Cholesterol, thus probably preventing strokes and heart disease.
